Ana Reyes, M.Ed.

Ana Reyes is a cervical and vaginal cancer survivor, patient advocate, and public health champion with more than a decade of advocacy experience. Diagnosed with Stage II cervical cancer in 2015 at age 34 while raising two young children as a single mother, Ana transformed her personal journey into a mission to improve awareness, prevention, and access to care.

Following her diagnosis, Ana became a Cervivor Ambassador in 2018, using her voice to educate others about HPV-related cancers, the importance of early detection, and the lifesaving benefits of HPV vaccination. After later being diagnosed with Stage 0 vaginal cancer, also caused by HPV, she further strengthened her commitment to advocacy.

Ana has partnered with the American Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, serving as a Regional Lead and Voice of Hope. She has advocated at both the state and federal levels for increased cancer research and funding, with a focus on HPV prevention, vaccination, and early screening for gynecologic cancers.

Her story has been featured in the California State Cancer Plan, on the CDC website, and in local news outlets. Through sharing her experience, Ana strives to empower others to prioritize routine cancer screenings and HPV vaccination, helping to prevent HPV-related cancers and save lives.
