Applications Now Open! Breast and Colorectal Cancer Screening Implementation Project (BCCSIP) FY23-24


The Breast and Colorectal Cancer Screening Implementation Project (BCCSIP) FY23-24 reflects a collaborative effort between the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Every Woman Counts (EWC) program, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (CCCP), the California Dialogue on Cancer (CDOC), and the California Colorectal Cancer Coalition (C4).  The focus of the project is on adding evidence-based interventions to existing breast and colorectal cancer screening initiatives within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) with the aim of increasing screening rates for both cancers. The application window opened on September 18 at 12:01 a.m. and will close on October 27 at 11:59 pm (PT). Click here to learn more.   

Lung  Cancer Screening Environmental Scan Report


The newly released Get Screened California: Lung Cancer Screening Environmental Scan Report is now posted on our Get Screened California website. This report is an assessment of available lung cancer and lung cancer screening data in California and of the opinions and experiences of select key California stakeholders. The report was developed by the ad-hoc CDOC Cancer Screening Workgroup in collaboration with the American Cancer Society.  View the report here.
