Tammy Pilisuk, MPH

Tammy Pilisuk, MPH has been working with the California Department of Public Health Immunization Branch since 2000. During her long tenure as a health educator she's led efforts to promote the HPV vaccine and Flu vaccine and other vaccines. She led a pilot research project testing the impact of e-reminders on HPV vaccine completion rates and has been providing leadership to an ongoing flu improvement project for California's VFC program. She is the point person for the California Immunization Coalition's ShotByShot.org, stories of vaccine-preventable-diseases where she has curated the story collection, producing and creating many stories with individuals who were personally impacted by a VPD. Tammy currently serves as the Immunization Branch's Tribal Liaison during the COVID Vaccine planning effort. She is also a Governing Counselor at the American Public Health Association. Tammy earned her MPH from UC Berkeley.
