Karina Moyano, MPH

Karina Moyano found her passion for public health when she attended UC San Diego though she majored in Biology, it was her minor Health Care and Social Issues that lead her to pursue a Master in Public Health from San Diego State University. Karina is currently the Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) Coordinator at the Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health. The COE Team addresses cancer disparities and inequities in San Diego and Imperial Counties by establishing sustained community partnerships to identify and disseminate evidence based, cancer related information and resources. She previously worked at the American Cancer Society collaborating with community health centers in San Diego and Orange counties to help increase cancer screenings and HPV vaccines in underserved communities.
