Rifa Akanda, MPH

Rifa Akanda holds a Master’s in Public Health from UCLA, and a Bachelor’s in Human Development from UC Davis. She currently works for Sutter Health as a Program Manager focusing on Health Equity for Chronic Conditions. Rifa is passionate in working with different underserved communities to address and mitigate health disparities, and she has multiple years of experience in different institutions managing programs that were focused on health equity. In addition to her management experience, Rifa is published in the Journal of Cancer Policy for her research on cervical cancer policies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
